Over in Cobourg, New Amherst Ltd. is building an 1,100-home community that managing partner Max LeMarchant says is “designed as a village rather than a subdivision,” The 170-acre site, with its small-town feel, includes condos, two-level lofts, bungalows, two-storeys and townhomes and will take 10 years to be fully developed, though sales are on now for a new phase, which has late 2010 occupancy.
